Licensing and royalty fees
Revenue earned during the period relating to consideration received from another party for the right to use, but not own, certain of the entity's intangible assets. Licensing arrangements include, but are not limited to, rights to use a patent, copyright, technology, manufacturing
process, software or trademark. Licensing fees are generally, but not always,
fixed as to amount and not dependent upon the revenue generated by the licensing
party. An entity may receive licensing fees for licenses that also generate
royalty payments to the entity and revenue earned during the period from the
leasing or otherwise lending to a third party the entity's rights or title
to certain property. Royalty revenue is derived from a percentage or stated
amount of sales proceeds or revenue generated by the third party using the
entity's property. Examples of property from which royalties may be derived
include patents and oil and mineral rights.
Revenues related to non-monetary exchanges
The amount of revenue recognized during the period related to nonmonetary consideration received. As a noncash item, it is added to net income when calculating cash provided by (used in) operations using the indirect method.

The cash outflow associated with the acquisition of a business, net of the cash acquired from the purchase and the cash outflow associated with other investments held by the entity for investment purposes not otherwise defined in the taxonomy.
Change in collateral held under securities lending
The net change during the period in the carrying amount (fair value) of securities held that had been pledged by counterparties under financing and lending arrangements, pursuant to which the entity has the right by agreement or custom to sell ore repledge such securities.
Change in obligation under securities lending
The change in fair value of collateral received by the entity associated with securities borrowed that must be returned if the counterparty fulfills its obligations. The collateral appears on the balance sheet as a liability and has a corresponding asset that appears on the balance sheet called collateral held under securities lending.

This item represents 1) the disclosure of claims held for amounts due a company. Examples include trade accounts receivables, notes receivables, loans receivables, 2) the complete disclosure related to inventory. This may include, but is not limited to, the basis of stating inventory, the method of determining inventory cost, the major classes of inventory, and the nature of the cost elements included in inventory. If inventory is stated above cost, accrued net losses on firm purchase commitments for inventory and losses resulting from valuing inventory at the lower-of-cost-or-market may also be included. For LIFO inventory, may disclose the amount and basis for determining the excess of replacement or current cost over stated LIFO value and the effects of a LIFO quantities liquidation that impacts net income, and 3) the aggregate amount of goodwill and a description of intangible assets, which may include (a) for amortizable intangible assets (also referred to as finite-lived intangible assets), the carrying amount, the amount of any significant residual value, and the weighted-average amortization period, (b) for intangible assets not subject to amortization (also referred to as indefinite-lived intangible assets), the carrying amount, and (c) the amount of research and development assets acquired and written off in the period, including the line item in the income statement in which the amounts written off are aggregated, if not readily apparent from the income statement. Also discloses (a) for amortizable intangibles assets in total and by major class, the gross carrying amount and accumulated amortization, the total amortization expense for the period, and the estimated aggregate amortization expense for each of the five succeeding fiscal years, (b) for intangible assets not subject to amortization the carrying amount in total and by major class, and (c) for goodwill, in total and for each reportable segment, the changes in the carrying amount of goodwill during the period (including the aggregate amount of goodwill acquired, the aggregate amount of impairment losses recognized, and the amount of goodwill included in the gain or loss on disposal of a reporting unit). If any part of goodwill has not been allocated to a reportable segment, discloses the unallocated amount and the reasons for not allocating.
