Depreciation expense on property and equipment was $1.58 billion and $1.27 billion for the three months ended September 30, 2020 and 2019, respectively, and $4.65 billion and $3.82 billion for the nine months ended September 30, 2020 and 2019, respectively. Construction in progress includes costs mostly related to construction of data centers, network equipment infrastructure to support our data centers around the world, and office buildings. No interest was capitalized for any period presented.
