| Stockholders' Equity | Note 6—Equity Dividends Cash dividends declared in 2022 totaled $3.38 per share, as compared to $12.98 per share in 2021. Dividends in 2021 included a special dividend of $10.00 per share, aggregating approximately $4,430. The Company's current quarterly dividend rate is $0.90 per share. Stock Repurchase Programs The Company's stock repurchase program is conducted under a $4,000 authorization by the Board of Directors, which expires in April 2023. As of the end of 2022, the remaining amount available under the approved plan was $2,808. The following table summarizes the Company’s stock repurchase activity:
