| Stockholders' equity | Note 6—Equity Dividends The Company’s current quarterly dividend is $0.65 per share, compared to $0.57 in the second quarter of 2019. On January 23, 2020, the Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend in the amount of $0.65 per share, which was paid on February 21, 2020. These amounts may differ from the stock repurchase balances in the accompanying condensed consolidated statements of cash flows due to changes in unsettled stock repurchases at the end of a quarter. The remaining amount available for stock repurchases under the approved plan was $3,864 at February 16, 2020. Purchases are made from time to time, as conditions warrant, in the open market or in block purchases and pursuant to plans under SEC Rule 10b5-1.
