| Accounting Pronouncements | Accounting Pronouncements In December 2023, the FASB issued Accounting Standards Update No. (ASU) 2023-09, Income Taxes (Topic 740): Improvements to Income Tax Disclosures, which requires business entities to expand their annual disclosures of the effective rate reconciliation and income taxes paid. The ASU is effective for fiscal years beginning after December 15, 2024, may be adopted on a prospective or retrospective basis, and early adoption is permitted. The Company adopted this ASU on December 31, 2025, on a retrospective basis. See the Supplemental Cash Flow Information of the Consolidated Statements of Cash Flows and Note 7 Income Taxes. In November 2024, the FASB issued ASU 2024-03, Income Statement - Reporting Comprehensive Income - Expense Disaggregation Disclosures (Subtopic 220-40): Disaggregation of Income Statement Expenses, which requires disclosure of additional information about specific expense categories in the notes to the financial statements. The ASU is effective for fiscal years beginning after December 15, 2026, and interim periods within fiscal years beginning after December 15, 2027, may be adopted on a prospective or retrospective basis, and early adoption is permitted. The Company is currently evaluating the effect that the new guidance will have on our related disclosures. In July 2025, the FASB issued ASU 2025-05, Financial Instruments - Credit Losses (Topic 326): Measurement of Credit Losses for Accounts Receivable and Contract Assets, which allows a practical expedient that assumes current conditions as of the balance sheet date do not change for the remaining life of the asset. The ASU is effective for fiscal years beginning after December 15, 2025, and interim periods within those fiscal years, must be adopted on a prospective basis, and early adoption is permitted. We elected to early adopt ASU 2025-05 on December 31, 2025, which did not have a material impact on our consolidated financial statements. In September 2025, the FASB issued ASU 2025-06, Intangibles - Goodwill and Other - Internal-Use Software (Subtopic 350-40): Targeted Improvements to the Accounting for Internal-Use Software, which details the criteria for capitalization of internal-use software costs. The ASU is effective for fiscal years beginning after December 15, 2027, and interim periods within those fiscal years, may be adopted on a prospective, modified, or retrospective transition approach, and early adoption is permitted. The Company is currently evaluating the effect that the new guidance will have on our consolidated financial statements and related disclosures. In December 2025, the FASB issued ASU 2025-10, Government Grants (Topic 832): Accounting for Government Grants Received by Business Entities, which provides recognition, measurement, and presentation authoritative guidance for grants received by a business entity from a government. The ASU is effective for fiscal years beginning after December 15, 2028, and interim reporting periods within those fiscal years, may be adopted on a modified prospective, modified retrospective, or retrospective approach, and early adoption is permitted. The Company is currently evaluating the effect that the new guidance will have on our consolidated financial statements and related disclosures.
